Sara Drought Nebel
Sara Drought Nebel
Sara Drought Nebel, poet and award-winning painter, was educated at
Bennington College in Bennington, VT and Silvermine Guild School of the Arts
in New Canaan, CT and has studied with Clifford Jackson, Charles Sovek and
Ann Toulmin-Rothe. Her portraits and paintings have been shown in various
galleries throughout the northeast, as scenery for theater productions in
NYC, Norwalk, CT, Westport, CT, a billboard in Toronto, Canada, murals,
illustrations in books and magazines and backdrops for a segment on Sesame
Street.
Sara's poem, "Earthspirit" was included in America at the Millenium: The
Best Poems and Poets of the Twentieth Century. Her newly published book of
poems, entitled Earthspirit Words: A Painter's Pen, greeting cards featuring
her paintings and poetry, original paintings, commissioned portraits and
limited edition giclee prints are available through her studio/gallery.
Currently, she teaches portraiture, still life and landscape painting and
drawing at her own, Earthspirit Studio and Gallery, near downtown Madison.
Her paintings can be viewed at her website, www.saradroughtnebel.com or
www.justplainart.com, www.giclee2000.com(prints), periodically at RJ Julia
Booksellers Café, Madison (July and October 2005), and in Juried and other
exhibitions along the CT shoreline. She is a board/artist member of The
Madison Art Society, The Clinton Art Society, The Guilford Art League, Lyme
Art Association and her biography is listed in Who's Who in America. She is
